I Removed The Spring Spacers Myself, How Can The Dealer Forget?
I just bought my car Thursday, new as can be. I checked the front and rear and I found out there were spacers on the rear. So I jacked it up and found only four in the rear (two on each side). I don't understand how they can take most of them out, but leave only four on the back. What kind of people do they have working there?..?
Thats ok... they didn't take mine off either! The guys down here kept saying my car was too high, they checked and YUP! Still in. Tried to go back to the Orginal dealer where i bought the car but I had to make a apt. Called another dealer and they were extremely happy to take off the spacers for me and charged the original dealer for it too! If it wasn't for the guys that showed it to me, I would have never known what they looked like, and the fact that they were STILL ON!!
Take your S back NOW and speak ONLY to the Service Manager. Make sure it is documented in your service history, get a copy of the documentation, assure the documentation states the spring spacers were not removed during PDI (pre delivery inspection) and that any suspension related problems WILL be related to the inability of the dealer to prepare your S.
