I should buy a S2000 but.....
I test drove the S2000 yesterday and totally loved it. I have wanted to buy one since it came out. However here is the dilema, I also love flying R/C helicopters and airplanes. Looking at the trunk at the dealership, I think I can fit one of my smaller helicopter in the trunk at best. I can forget about trying to fit any average sized R/C airplane in it. My alternative is to get a 6MT Acura TL. I also test drove that car and it is no S2000. Don't remember grinning during the entire test drive.
We already have a mini-van but my wife will kill me if I take the van to the flying field. She don't know how to drive a stick and we have a 2 year daughter, so leaving her with the S will not work.
Should I give up trunk space to own the most emotionally fulfulling car I can buy? Or should I slide a bit to the practical side? It is hard to decide, I do plan to talk to the Acura dealer some more and see if they are willing to let me have the TL for a couple of days so that I gauge how much I will be missing if I buy that instead of the S.

Get the S and work things out with your wife. Then again I am young and go through girls like its my job. Have not had a steady realtionship in years. I think my longest is 4 weeks. I am a failure. But you gott aget what you think will work the best for you. If you need the trunk space and a fast car why not look at the WRX. Lance Evo? But then agin they are no S2000. * I have a hard time saying S, maybe cause I do not own one and dont feel right.
Buy the car. You'll figure out how to fit the stuff once you own it.
My first car was a 94 Miata... much smaller than the S2000. I still figured out how to haul 6-8 bowling balls to tournaments every weekend.

I originally had a "pratical" car and then a year later I dumped it for the S2K. Never looked back and very happy with my decision. The practical car helped out alot with my hobbies, but in the end it was easier to live with using other cars than to live without the S.

I have an RC chopper (old Falcon 555 - can't fly it worth a crap, though) and with the main rotors folded back towards the tail boom, you may get it into the passenger footwell on its side, nose first. The trunk can hold all your support equipment. However, do you really want that thing dripping fuel goo all over the inside of your car?
If you must get an S2000, you can always put on a trailer hitch and build yourself a small utility trailer to haul your stuff to the airfield.
