Default I should have stayed home today...

Went on a 1.5 hour drive to a Best Buy across town, the ONLY store that had what I needed. Parked next to a truck who had a kid in the passenger seat. He waved, and I smiled back. Went inside, got my things, came out... and:

Same truck hit the car with the FRONT of his truck (I dunno how...) and ran. Witness got a plate number, and so did the dashcam.

Its now held together with evidence tape until Wednesday.

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY TO ME!

That first pic, your car seems to be pretty far forward in the stall when compared to the other cars aside it.

Not an excuse for not leaving a note though.

Good luck with getting this settled and the eventual repairs.

......and never park with the commoners.

That was a CLEAN AP1. How many miles on that?

I drove it before the pictures were taken to check the alignment for the insurance company since the tire was hit, and then just parked it back there with the officer so thats not how it was when it was hit. 53,700 miles. I will forever be hiding in the back of parking lots from now on.

Wow!!
That sucks. Yes never park with the commoners... I always park as far as I can and find a wall or curb to hug to at least secure one side for sure.

Thats how I was when I first got it, then I was like "Ya know... I never got hit in my old car" and tried to park closer. About a month later -- this happened. SOOOOO out in the end of the parking lot for me now! I'd rather walk than deal with this again!

Looks like step bars caught your bumper and peeled it. So sorry for the damage. And like others have stated, that is one clean ap1. I hope they are able to put it back to pristine.

I avoid everyone like the plague when I go anywhere in my 32 same when I had my s2000. Its worth the extra walk because its not a matter if someone will tag your car its when and no one ever leaves a note. Not that that really makes it any better the damage is already done
