Default I wanna run 12's

yesyes, I wanna run 12's, Im running high 13- mid 14's right now, but I want to make my S in the 12's. its a 02 w/ 1600 miles on it. I don't have a lot of money to spend, but wut would be the best way for me to reach this goal fast without doing any damage to the car? (I intend to keep it for atleast 5 yrs.) I also would not want to void the warranty either. What should I do? Supercharging would cost a bunch, and turbo I feel would do some damage to the car. What do u guys think about NOS on the S2ks? feed back much appreciated!

i ran into another owner of an S2000 at the track last month. He ran 13.2 times, but pretty pissed. He had supercharger and he was spraying a 30 shot of NOS, no more mods. The reason he was pissed was that before he was running 13.4's with just a 60 shot of NOS, so he pretty much wasted $5,000. So he was doing this...

So i think if you shoot about a 75 shot and get intake and exhaust you will hit it with good driving.

Get yourself a scale and start weighing stuff - stuff you remove from the car. Get the weight down by about 1000 lbs and you should be close. Just to be sure, better loose a few pounds yourself!

Read Dan Carney's "Honda S2000" and realize the S was researched, and engineered for corners, not straight lines. The engineers insipiration was from champ and F1 cars so if that does not convince you, then maybe someone else can help you.

This topic is the same as people who drag race 1000cc sport bikes and totally defy the purpose of the bike.

If you have not been on a road course, then spend the day and enjoy the bliss between man, machine, and the road. If your mind is still on straight lines, they go buy a ponycar of some sort.

Puzzled at all these posts of how to make their S2ks run faster E.T.s...

Lol...buy yourself an older mustang or camaro, go to pepboys with 1800 cash, and smile when you pick it up the next day. No insults intended (pepboys was just a joke catalogs are more realistic), it's fun to have a fast car like an S (made faster), but it's a hel-uv-ah-lot less expensive to have a separate "get up and go" car. Plus if you toast it, wreck it, or twist it in half, you will always have a ride to work in a stylish convertable. Just another opinion.

Before you mod the hell out of your car, spend a few hundred bucks on a track day at your nearest road coarse. You may find that you enjoy carving up the corners more than drag racing. Either way...enjoy and be safe.
