I wanna run 12's
No way a 50 shot puts you in low 12 range. A current SC that gives 100hp, and a turbo with 120 hp gives mid to high 12's. I know Nitrous is immediate but no way a 50 shot would drop your 1/4 by 1.5-2 sec. You can try a 75 shot, but I hear that 4 cylinder engines should only have about 60 shot at most.
Some people in here seem to think that if you run 12sec at the track, you can't take that car to autocross. Not everyone have the opportunity to autocross. I live/works in the city and it's VERY hard for me to joint any events. So spending times in my garage on a sunday is more realistic.
I really felt like nos would be the safest and the cheapest way to go. If nos, sc, or turbo would all cause voidance to my warranty policy, what would be my other alternatives? I understand 12 sec is a bit unrealistic, but I would atleast like to be able to run with the SS and the Trans Ams. What could I do to keep up if not beat them in the 1/4 mile?
You can beat them as your car is now....IF thy suck at driving and you have a flawless run. Just get intake, headers, vtec controller...little things like that, do some weight reduction..Seats, rims, stuff like that.
BEST WAY TO DO THIS IS:
Sell, your current S2000, save up some $$$ and go and buy the MUGEN S2K! The thing HAlls MAJOR A$$. I can't remember all of its specs but it has like 350 HP, is like 150-200lbs lighter and.......does a low 12 1/4. Do it!

Mugen S2000 is a 14 sec. car

No way to run 12's in a N/A S2000. Our car is heavy as most convertibles. I took my car weight at Englishtown Raceway yesterday:
2930 lbs. I am 180 lbs and I had half a tank of fuel.
The car alone with an almost empty fuel tank is about 2730 pounds. Yes it is lighter than other cars, but what's the deal if an old CRX with an ITR engine (cheap car with a no so cheap engine) with some minor mods (Exhaust, Header, CAI) runs consistent 12's.
I do not prefer a CRX anyway. I love my car, but I feel
when I see those damn old civic running low 13's and high 12's.
To get the most of our cars, we have to go with some weight savings.
Carbon Fiber Hood, lighter wheels, lighter exhaust system (single outlet), lighter header, battery, flywheel, clutch, etc.
If you have the hardtop, remove all the convertible mechanism and top.
Add all the mods that everybody knows and get consistent 12's, but at the time you do the calcs you will be over $10K.
If you love your car $10K more is worth it.
