yeah i know about the soft top. but im just thinking of weight reduction. and also no point of having it since i really wouldnt be taking out the hardtop at all.
Weight reduction on a street driven car by an amateur driver on street tires is silly IMHO.

Also, unless you're actually going to keep the car forever or going to gut it for track, it's not worth the destroyed resale value to remove the soft top.

Although you could just claim it was a CR wannabe....

Remove the spare tire and tool kit for your first weight reduction....

'01s have a clock in the radio. '00s did not. The '00-'01s are more raw and less refined. The suspension is stiffer than in the newer cars. I do not burn oil either. Only real difference is the glass versus plastic rear window. Plastic is much bigger and mine is still clear.
00-01 also burns oil???

is this normal???

It's just a buzzing noise on deceleration. It doesn't affect performance.

You'll need a clutch sometime if you buy that car anyway.

all s2000s will burn oil.

Vtec itself, burns oil. the Honda manual states to check the oil level every gas fill up.

so, dotn worry about it too much - its only if tis insanely high consumption that there might be a problem.

1quart every 3Kmiles is a good number.

Not true, only AP1s burn appreciable amounts of oil. If your AP2 burns oil, its an anomaly.

The earlier the car, the more oil it will use. And it's not an engine age thing. Even new mine used oil faster than any other newish car I'd owned...well except a Triumph, but then 60's/70's British cars have to be soaked in oil to run right...if they stop leaking oil then you are in big trouble.

Expect a quart each 3k miles.
