i think that you might be confused. "low profile" is a rather, obnoxious term.

just tell your tire store that you are looking for 225/45/17 and 255/40/17 tires, and they will etiher have them, or be able to get them. They are not hard to find sizes

I don't get your question.

Anyway, whatever you do, get the tire that has the closest overall diameter as your OEM ones.

You probably want to look at the conveniently labeled "Wheel Fitment Guide" located in the Wheels and Tires Forum here: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=342793

To summarize, with a +43 offset in the front, you won't want to run a 'normal' tire wider than 205. This actually isn't as big of a problem as it sounds, because the tread width on the OEM 215 is much narrower than typical 215s, roughly equivalent to most 195-205 tires.

Thus, you can run the O.E. Bridgestone RE050 (order them from Tire Rack to make sure you get the S2000 specific tires) in 215/45 front and 245/40 rear. Or, select the 205/45 (or 205/50) tire of your choice, and a corresponding 245 or 255 in the back.

Read my username. Better to be a "tool" than a complete DOLT! These guys are trying to tell you something and trying to teach you something, yet you continue to persist in your total ignorance. You either WON'T listen, CAN'T comprehend or simply so far in the dark, you're making the mushrooms jeolous. Geez, man, find a f'ckin' clue for Krist's sake.
