Absolutely 100% certain. My sister's car was a base model (at least that's what I recall the package being labeled). As such, there was no A/C, no radio, no power windows, no power steering, no power door locks, no ABS. It even had really, really ugly steel wheels. It was as bare bones as you could get and was awesome. She added a glass window and Robbins top when it came time to replace the top and put a radio with CD player in it but lef the car pretty stock for all those years and miles. It was a great car and when she got rid of it she even did a full check up on the car and it was still good to go!

I believe the R package Miatas of a few years later (we had a buddy with a 1994 white R package that was awesome!) also didn't have the power steering. The steering feel was amazing and frankly, I didn't mind it. It made slow parking manuevers a bit of a work out but the rewards were more than there!

Yup, very well. Mine was a '90, but it wasn't the base model. Had A/C and PS. Absolutely, positively, incredibly trouble-free for 12 years!

Rock on, guys!

OF COURSE I will love to have the S2200 and S2000 Type R if they came out, but if the S2000 didn't exist, then I "might" consider the Civic Type R, because of the price.

But, the S2000 does exist so it "will" be my future car
