The ultimate S2K would be the Lotus Exige. But that's also $20k more than the S.

because the designers at Honda, just like everyone else in the world, have to work with something called a budget....if you think a set of properly dialed-in high end coil overs wouldn't improve the handling of the car, you're crazy...same goes for a properly set-up supercharger...both would make a world of difference in lap times
And laps matter what.....5% of the time? I think I'm being generous. Assuming you actually race the car. And assuming a backyard suspension engineer had the smarts and equipment to install and set up the parts and then had the ability to extract the benefit on a track.

This is the "angels on the head of a pin discussion". Most people who own an S2000 will never be on a track and the drivetrain and chassis wasn't designed for FI horsepower of 350+ to the wheels. That would be a Vette. If that's what you want, go buy a Z06 Vette. Or if budget is no consideration, go get yourself a GT3. Or maybe an Exige S240. Or a GTR.

Personally, I'm well past the need to be "the fastest". I think it's comical that people are chasing that dream with a an S2000 and a bag of parts from Autozone.

Of course you understand that stroking the engine another 0.5L would create a design so undersquare that it probably couldn't rev to 6,000 RPM.

I think they call those F150's.

I'm with Warren. Why even consider it if for the same money (as my ultimate S2K build) I'd be in a Cayman S with a GT3 motor?

I'm not sure if I'd modify it much... Unless I could modify it to the point where it can beat a few supercars in a random street race.

I've had turbo cars, and while the power is fun to have, something about an N/A Toda stroker with ITB's and AEM ems excites me.
