If you could build the ultimate S2000....

And laps matter what.....5% of the time? I think I'm being generous. Assuming you actually race the car. And assuming a backyard suspension engineer had the smarts and equipment to install and set up the parts and then had the ability to extract the benefit on a track.
This is the "angels on the head of a pin discussion". Most people who own an S2000 will never be on a track and the drivetrain and chassis wasn't designed for FI horsepower of 350+ to the wheels. That would be a Vette. If that's what you want, go buy a Z06 Vette. Or if budget is no consideration, go get yourself a GT3. Or maybe an Exige S240. Or a GTR.
Personally, I'm well past the need to be "the fastest". I think it's comical that people are chasing that dream with a an S2000 and a bag of parts from Autozone.

Lets admit it the s2000 on the street cruising sucks balls. No tq makes driving in 6th pretty boring.
And autozone parts? yeah ok... listen if you just can't afford to mod your car thats fine. but don't bash people when they make good modifications on their car. God what do you think your car is perfect from factory? lol. And its not the need to be the "fastest" because no matter what you do someone will always be faster. Its more about enjoying your car. And idk about you guys but 240 crank hp gets really boring really fast. i only stay with my07 for 6 months without starting to do suspension work; etc b.c you outgrow the car easily. now its time for a SC
^ i thought about that but along with changing parts are fitment issues.......... i hate misfitting items... also theres the nightmare of getting a good body shop to paint over the CF....

There is plenty of room for improvement on this car. I didn't think there was anyone that was a big enough Honda fanboi to refuse to admit that, but apparently I was wrong.
SpudRacer, why do you even have "racer" in your name? Nobody who actually drives their car on a track (or even drives it the way it was meant to be driven) would display the level of ignorance you have.
By your "logic" (if you can call it that), if I put stickier tires on my car that must mean I'm a "backyard tuner" and it makes the car worse than Honda's original design, right??? What about waxing the car? If Honda wanted us to wax the car they would have made Honda brand wax and a Honda buffer to apply it with, right?
There's a reason Honda works with tuners like Mugen to build/design cars. Even our wheels aren't made in house by Honda, they're made by Enkei. So if I decided to switch to a lighter Enkei wheel, that would ruin the perfect car that Honda designed, right? Where do you draw the line?
Just because we enjoy making our cars faster/more fun does not mean that we are all somehow competing to be "the fastest." I could pretty much care less what other people do or how fast their cars are... I bought my car because I enjoy it, and I mod it because I enjoy it more that way. If you want to whine about other people's choices/preferences, do it elsewhere.

Edit - OK, a quick calculation indicates you'd only lose about another 800 RPM (over F22C) to keep piston speed constant at a 97MM stroke (2.47L displacement). That means about 7200 RPM. Assuming bore doesn't change.

I did. In the same sentence as the comment about the chassis you were referencing.
Um....that's why Honda gave you five other gears to chose from Ace. It seems that you were looking for a Corvette but got confused and ended up with a torqueless POS that required you to "fix" it. So sorry. And no, my S does not suck balls cruising on the street. I use all six gears.
No I don't think it's perfect. But, neither do I delude myself into thinking that I can shell out $500 for off the shelf parts and improve on a pretty sophisticated design. Tires are one thing. But suspension and drivetrain are something else.

Oh and before you start talking shit about Inline Pro Stroker Kits Why don't you actually talk to them and/or find out abotu their reputation? Because obviously you don't know shit. Inline Pro is known to be goddamn reliable all day long. Unless they sell you a race engine, their built stroker engines are built proof thats why a few people who have their built engines are boosting them to 500+ hp. but ofcourse you wouldn't know that because your just talking out of your ass.
Right now there are alot of quality parts out their that would be an upgrade from stock. Maybe you should realize your car isn't some redic rare sports car that has the best stuff on the market. Honda made each year softer and softer and more comfortable. Its "race inspired" but not quite there yet. thats why we mod. But you wouldn't understand that...
And whats with you and the corvette and the GT3? damn are you a vette fanboy? First of all those c6's suck balls to DD. Ask me how i know
. Personally i like small cars that i can flick around. That means the s2000. now With mods and everything im gonna do to my car itll be a grand total of about $45k. 30k for the car and approx. 15k for mods. (im going Kw SC kit, Reinforced diff; etc)... that is still around the same price of the z51 corvette. Hmm But i will be faster than it straight line and i promise you ill be able to handle jsut as well if not better (some of their suspensions setups are questionable) SO your argument was???..... And yes i dont need a redic. amoutn of tq (hey i am going sc lol) but lets admit it the S has none. And it doesn't have that much power. Come on its known for handling now straight line speed. And come on accords and some minivans are hitting 14.6-15 in the 1/4 mile and are more torquey.
AND none of us are geting "$500" parts that are gonna be such an amazement if there are thos "$500 magic parrts" let me know because my parts are totaling alot more than $500.
The morale of this argument is do your own research and get some good quality products guys. exmaple: dont mod your suspension if you don't know how spring rates will affect yoru handling.

Please excuse the interuption. Now back to your regularly scheduled fantasies.
PS - You might want to look into the shiny air fresheners shaped like a crown at autozone.
