If you had to do it all over again...
Every car has unique features, blemishes, and idiosyncrasies. If you could go back to the time you were in the market for an S2000, would you still go with the one you currently own?
If not, what would you want to be different?

I wish I had a brain when I bought one. My choices were an 02 with 78k miles for 12k or an 02 with 43k miles for 14k. Both, the same color but the one with only 43k on was a garage queen and I would have had to wait a 5 weeks to get it because the guy lived kind of far away (I bought the one with 78k on it). The one with 78k on it was not a garage queen, the exterior paint was about a 7.8/10 while the other S was a 10/10. Although now, it's been almost a year since I've had it and nothing has gone wrong with it. That - I am thankful for.
I got the perfect ride, no need to change anything.Posted Image
Added seat locks and wheel locks that should have come standard.
Changed out the rear windscreen for a taller one, laser engraved with S2000.
Installed an oil drain quick release valve; makes oil changes just too easy.
Installed key hole covers for a cleaner look.
Installed folding German cup holders for both passenger side and driver's side.
Installed concealed radar & laser detection.
Installed front bumper license plate hole plugs.
Installed LoJack system.
Will upgrade the audio system with new head unit, new door speakers, adding tweeters while changing out the 2001 door panels to 2003 panels to house the tweets, S-Pods with component speakers, sub-woofer in passenger footwell, and amp hidden in space next to the spare tire, all for a stealth install.
Other than that, it's perfect.
I had driven a few, & not found a great one, when mine popped up, an 01, with just 27,000 kilometers on it.
It was owned by a South African, who spent about half his time in Oz. There were a couple of years where it did not touch the road.
I replaced the tyres, all the fluids, & every hose on the car. It drives, smells & feels like new.
Can you guess I love it?

I wish I had done more research.
I would have stayed with an AP1 but I would have gotten a 2003 instead.
Which meant I would have gotten all the first gen fixes including a glass rear window instead of the crappy plastic one on my 2001.
I also ended up buying a car with the well known axle issue and had to replace both axles.
Overall though I happy with my car.

I certainly added stuff to mine but the question is "would you still go with the one you currently own"?

I bought a perfect Rio 08 CR with only 1002 miles on it, only thing I would have changed would have been a GPW CR but I couldn't find a low mileage or anyone one at all so I went with the second rarest color.
