Default illegal U-turn right in front of my S

My car was in the far left lane (of a 6 lane road -- three lanes each way) and the other car was one lane to the right. Both cars were going the same direction, and he was about 1-2 car lengths ahead when he decided to hang a sharp left to make an illegal U-turn. This happened without warning and about mid-way between two intersections. Afterwards he said ne never say my car, but a least he claimed full responsibility and has good insurance.

So that's what the tow hook looks like!

How horrible. Glad no one seems to have been hurt and that he has insurance.

Ouch! That's awful. Good thing no one was hurt. Your S is (painfully) replaceable.

Those damn illegal U-turns happen all day long on my apartment's street. They really are a pain and the ass and I never see anyone getting caught for them in LA.

Wow..sorry to hear that.
I had a van do the same to me (driving my MX-6) before the NJ Turnpike tolls. I ended up swerving to the oncoming lane (luckily no traffic), slowed down, hit a cone and came back to my lane. No one was hit.

Good luck with everything.

It was a 2001 Mustang driven by a 40something guy. He was out to buy some touch-up paint for his car. There was some backed up traffic up ahead (because of construction) so that's what prompted his U-turn.
