Maybe too late, but wasn't it better sell your s and pick FD? And build rotary sounds much fun than swap rotary in s2000 to me?.
Rotary sounds so sexy when it coming out from FD or FC...
well it is crazy swap and many people wants to stay away from rotary but you want that in your s2k. That's thumbs up man.

Well...Too bad its dying and not many rotary shops out there. But
When it comes back to live with right parts...man its powerful.
Good luck with your swap.

It is not bad to be original.

Good luck with your project and especially after you complete your rotary installation. From the feedback I've got from previous RX8 owners, please expect higher oil and fuel consumption and the most common issue with those rotary engines; they call it flooding. Unless of course you are talking about a different rotary engine.
I'm going to be installing a second gen RX-7 turbo 13B rotary. The concept will be the same tho and the oil/fuel consumption should be about the same lol.

I love the way the FD looks and handles but for this project I think it will be actually cheaper to just swap in the rotary since I'm getting the motor for almost nothing and I'm selling my stock equipment to cover most of the costs of the build. We will be doing all the fab work, welding, and wiring ourselves to make it more or less a budget build lol. It's funny to think that a 10-15,000 dollar build could be concidered a budget build lol. I haven't started yet but as soon as I get enough of the info that I'll need to do the job and find someone to buy the f22c and trans from me I'll get started. I also have a .60 trim turbo kit that I need to get rid of also. I'm hoping that with the money I make from that I'll be able to cover it all.

Interesting indeed. Its your property, do with it what you like.

I'd be interested to see how that machine will handle when its all said and done.

I foresee a promising end to this thread.

forum rules 101: if you actually want help on something then simply state what you're looking for. if the OP had simply requested details on wiring up the dash then he'd have gotten it. instead he wanted to boast on a project 1st and worry about assistance 2nd... now you have several pages of worthless posts without much to show for it.

my opinion on the actual project aside, it seems like OP wanted to troll-bait.

I hear ya.
Post up some pictures. Have you check on RX7club?
Is that twin or single? I wonder how much extra under hood space you can get from s2000 with that rotary engine in.

I swear. It looks as if most of the flamers are somehow afraid that if the OP has his way, he'll come to THEIR house and force them to put a rotary engine into THEIR cars. Mandatory Mazdas for everyone!

What are you afraid of? That the OP might be allowed to spend his own money and have fun with his own car in a way you don't approve of?

This same mass freak-out happens on S2KI every time someone proposes any engine swap on an S2000
"I'm putting a Mazda engine in my S2000!" "OMG you're RUINING it!"
"I'm putting a 2JZ in my S2000" "OMG you're RUINING it!"
"I'm putting an F20 in my AP2!" "OMG you're RUINING it!"
"I'm putting an F22 in my AP1!" "OMG you're RUINING it!"
"I'm putting a V8 in my S2000!" "OMG you're RUINING it!"
"I'm putting an electric motor in my S2000!" "OMG you're RUINING it!"
"I'm putting a jet engine in my S2000" "OMG you're RUINING it!"
"I'm putting a warp engine in my S2000" "OMG you're RUINING it!"

If you don't like it, just don't put it in your car.

this thread that I created serves two purposes. one: to get info for thimgs that i need as they come up, and two: is to reserve a spot for a build thread when the building actually starts. when funds reach the proper amounts then the taredown will begin and the rotary WILL breath under the S2000 hood. its funny how a lot of people here say they hate this idea but they still keep themselves stuck to the computer every day looking for updates... i think they are lieing to themselves lol.

I have always that the S2000 would sound great with some "brap".
