For clarification, I don't have a problem with engine swaps. In fact, I think they are pretty cool. I just think this one isn't well thought out. I will keep watching the thread because I am interested in seeing how it turns out. I didn't realize that when someone starts a thread on the internets that you can only reply with posts praising the OP for his brilliance. My bad. I should have just said "Hella tight!" and kept my real opinions to myself.
im not worried about if you like the idea or not, you can hate the idea for all i care. the only thing thats been bothering me with some of the posts is how rude they have been. wether directed towards me or another person. all i really wanted of this thread was a good information thread for me to refference later on durring my build. which is the reason that i wrote in the first line of my thread, I DONT WANT FLAMING I WANT INFORMATION....

you guys are free to say what you want cuz i got what i wanted for the most part and im pretty sure this is just going to turn into an argument and flaming thread.

ill start a different thread later with the build progress when it starts.

The first rude person in this thread was you when you told those who questioned why you were doing this to "STFU". And the majority of the rest of the rude comments are from you and those supporting you. You have very thin skin. You immediately started acusing "haters" of "flaming" you even though no one had. The only dissenting voices were from people asking you why you were doing it. Thats not flaming or hating or directing rude comments towards you. Take a deep breath and relax man.

this thread that I created serves two purposes. one: to get info for thimgs that i need as they come up, and two: is to reserve a spot for a build thread when the building actually starts. when funds reach the proper amounts then the taredown will begin and the rotary WILL breath under the S2000 hood. its funny how a lot of people here say they hate this idea but they still keep themselves stuck to the computer every day looking for updates... i think they are lieing to themselves lol.
So.... Your response kind of proves my point - you're looking for controversy. Seems like a wasted thread to me.

Do things because you want to do them, not because you want attention. You'll see my posts in xyster's v8 swap thread because I think shit like this is fun.

Good luck with your build. The preface has ensured that I won't be back for updates.

Truth.

Read the first page- there were a bunch of interested comments asking why you were making the swap.

You seemed to take offense to people on a message board asking a question (gasp!). And your response was incredibly childish: "BECAUSE, that's why, now STFU." What are you, 9 years old?

If you come on here looking for help or information, a little bit of courtesy goes a long way.

sorry dude. Im a firm believer of "its your car. its your money. do what you wish" however i just cant seem to do any thing else than scratch my head on what you hope to gain by doing such a build. You will see no performance gains and reliability issues. Good luck on your endeavors however. There are certain websites that have done s2000 cluster swaps for other cars such as civic and crx. It should work about the same albeit a little backwards. google marklamond s2000 cluster. He provides diagrams of the wiring cluster. Not exactly what your looking for but hey someone has a free cluster wiring diagram for both ap1 and ap2. That will definitely give you a good head start on the electrical components towards your goal.
