SR20 and LS1 might be the only acceptable swaps I would consider for the S. And in both cases there better be a good explanation, like drag car for the LS1 and F20 blew so my friend gave me an SR20 for the SR!

Good luck. I'll bet $5 you don't complete it due to funds, complications, frustrations, etc.

This has to be the absolute worst idea I've ever heard. A friend of mine had a built 500hp FD it was built correctly by a shop but he ended up getting rid of it after a few years b/c it was a pain to maintain.

I don't understand why but that doesn't matter. It's what you want to do and I'm interested in seeing how it comes out.

Good luck

I'm surprised nobody has asked this question yet (or maybe I overlooked it?) but to the OP, where do you plan on driving this car within the US? It won't be street legal in any state so I'm not sure how you can get around that.

Unless I'm grossly mistaken it's against the law to put an older engine into a newer vehicle. And I have no doubt even more of a no no putting a non-OBD-II engine into an OBD-II vehicle.

Thoughts? Comments?
