I agree. Too much writing too, and way too much to fully respond to everyone.

I knew I was opening an old can of worms, but I never expected so many responses, much less so many thoughtful responses.

I can't even read it all, so I can't blame anyone else for heading back to the main menu. <<<

I was going to try to do a nice summary, but that's not even going to be possible now, so this whole effort may have been rendered a complete waste of time.

Since the thread has been trashed by the sheer volume of posts, let's just rag on Nissan and talk about the cool racing pictures.

I'm serious.

I agree with your original post 100%.

However, the majority of people are always going to try to "prove" that the car they chose (whatever that may be) is better. (I put "prove" in quotations because it is impossible to do so, since people buy cars for a multitude of different reasons, none being right or wrong.) 99% of the people arguing for the AP1 own an AP1, and 99% of the people arguing for the AP2 own an AP2. Its an un-winnable battle... and whoever said its the same with every car forum is exactly right...when I had my LT1 Z28, wars were waged over the LT1 vs. LS1 argument AT LEAST as mush as AP1 vs AP2 here.
