I'm assuming you already have the seat positioned to where you can work the pedals. Try adjusting the seat back forward or reclining until you are comfortable. When seated your elbows should be slightly bent and you should be able to depress the clutch fully.
Hope this helps!

Other way around. Most tall people can't fit in it.

^ nope. Just forward and backwards and then move the back incline.

I'm not sure a lower seat will help, but Bulletproof has these frames that lower the seat.

Hey John, I'm 5'7" so to you I may be tall(er), but to most I'm short, too. Before I go further, just want to say I'm not sure how safe the following is.

The S didn't provide the road visibility over the hood that I was accustomed to. I went to ACE hardware (one of the few retailers left that still provides assistance). I told the associate I was looking for something to slide over a bolt that would act as a spacer between the floorpan and the seat bracket...something sleeve-like. I also took the original bolt to accurately line-up the threads for a longer replacement bolt. I ended up with a 1" long cylindrical brass...piece. The piece is pretty thick and heavy.

I don't recall the details of the install, as it has been 3+ yrs since. Hope you get the idea. Tomorrow I'll take a pic of the pieces installed if you like, just too late to mess around with it right now. Trust me, just that 1" in height makes a huge difference (to me). Can't confidently say how safe it is, but I've been driving around like this since July '05 (15K miles).
