Dude how short are your legs?!?! I'm 5"3 and I can reach the pedals fine and can drive comfortably. My seats aren't even all the way up front either!!!

John, I'm attempting to post a few shots of my raised seat. After reading your post again, (and some of the responses). I'm not sure if my solution will help much. My issue was with seeing more of the road over the hood...sitting higher. Sounds like you're trying to get closer to the pedals (?). Anyway, hope you can get an idea of what I was trying to describe, from the pics. First pic is front of seat, other two are rear of seat. Don't hesitate to contact me if you have questions. Oh, again, at your own risk.

the way you have it, a brass collar to raise the seat really does look a lil unsafe. it looks like a good hard corner can generate enough leverage to break the bolts.
what i suggest you use is either a thicker/larger outside diameter collar. if you cant find one then try using a stack of flat washers. this would spread the load more.
think of it as snapping a skinny twig and snapping a fatter twig of the same length.
my older brother is 2 inches shorter then i am (i'm 5'2") and he used the flat washer method on his 350Z. the oem seat bolts actually broke on him on a road course. he replaced them with grade 8 bolts and added the washers to give him that extra view.
i would do this to my car and maybe get a glimps of the view of the fenders that people always talk about but i prefer the lower center of gravity as little as it may be.

jeggy, you're right. I probably should use something more substantial to support the bolts. Now that I have images, I might check out some fabricator shops and see if someone can provide a drilled out metal block-type piece. A piece that would still be 1" high and about 3x3 elsewhere. Thanks for the feedback.
I think the car is built for a average build and 5'9" inches, this car fits me like a glove. My wife is 5'3' and has no issues, what do you think you need to do to make it more confortable? Raise the seat? maybe tilt the front down?
I'm 5'10" 160lbs and if the seat is any higher, the steering wheel would be between my legs. No I don't have big thunder thighs. How do you raise the seats without making it an uncomfortable driving position?
And I guess this really is the driver's car. No telescoping/tilting steering wheel, no seat cushion tilt. I think if I am 1-2" taller it would fit me perfectly. I have the seat set two clicks from the back.
I think you can probably get the pedals adjusted/raised/extended. Maybe even the steering wheel?
Interesting... I'm 5'5, and I feel it is perfect with still alot of room to play with. I probably can move the seat up another 4", maybe more. And no I am not driving "lean back". Either I have long legs or you have short legs would be my only explanation for you to be uncomfortable with the seat. No pun intended.
Maybe your seat is stuck? it should move forward (and upward slightly) until the seat is almost under the steering wheel.
I'm 5'10 and where I sit , the back of seat one click from hitting the rollbars, I have trouble seeing stoplights
( not to thread jack, but has anyone installed a traffic light viewer?)
This being a Japanese sports car, is made for people of small stature...
If your legs are just uncomfortable in the sitting on the floor position, you can raise the seats as stated, there are raised rail kits if you don't like the DIY. But you're pretty much gonna have to get used to it to some extent. no high h-point seating here, get a Tahoe for that.
If you're having trouble seeing over the hood, remember the front of the car is 2 feet of the ground so while visibility seems bad at first, it really isn't.
