Could it be that people that try to "moonlight" in the import part business don't really have the time or staff to offer good service just a teaser price structure? I prefer service, communication, and a number that answers when I need help to a buck or to off. S2ki should maybe consider members feedback on poor sponsers and give them the boot! Just my 2 cents, Phil

Is it just me, or does the "we don't have time for customers because times are tough" sound ass-backwards to anyone else?
I own my own company with a buddy and learned a long time ago that you need to take care of your customers, especially when "times are tough". How do you expect them to get any better if you're pissing your customers away???

krhorrocks-My sentiments exactly, I almost fell out of my chair when I read the excuses for the poor service, this thread exposed a lot of good and bad vendors, so at least everyone know's what's up! Phil

My family owns/runs a small retail business. Let me share some wisdom from my father (R.I.P)

You know what separates us from the (insert type of business here) down the street? Its our customer service....we are all selling the same thing!

YES, I DO know how tough the retail climate is right now! This is no excuse to hide behind your phone! Its a shame so many people feel that the inquisitive customer is a burden!

What a load of crap. All most of these people expect is a little communication. If you have someones money and haven't delivered the goods then you sure as hell better answer an email or voicemail. It doesn't matter if this is part time or full time you have to be able to communicate with your customers if you expect to have a business. I know that I have never had a problem with Muz who is the only one I have ordered from but I hear complaints from a lot of people about other vendors. I would have ordered stuff from other suplliers but never heard back on inquires I made about their products. Some of these people would have been very happy to get an email telling them that you were waiting on the parts to arrive from Japan or that you were working on the harnesses. They would have been happy to wait a little longer and just wanted to know you hadn't taken their money and run. If you don't know whether to return a call or answer the phone because it is ringing so much you either need to hire some help or at least get a real voicemail system.

does anyone know if there is a law to this?
