This post is a continuation of my previous post of impressions at 1,000 miles (https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.ph...ic=544532&st=0).

I've had my Black S2000 CR since 11.10.2007 and put 2,556 miles on it so far. I traded my 00' AP-1 S2000 for the CR. Here are my thoughts after 2k+ miles:

ENGINE
Those of us who are familiar with the AP2 engine will find everything is the same. The new challenge is the shorter gearing in the CR and the 8,000rpm redline which forces revs to drop below the VTEC cutover point on the 1-2 upshift. This results in an annoying 1/2 second pause until the revs move past 6k and the cutover occurs again. Not a show-stopper but it is noticed by passengers. The 2-3 and further upshifts don't do this probably because the revised ratios don't let the revs drop as far.

I've noticed that my engine has an occasional hesitation at anything less than full throttle accelerations between 2-4k revs. It

Nice report. I hope another dealer is more helpful about your slight issues.

Thanks. I'll be bringing it to Sloane Honda in PA sometime over the next few weeks. I'll update this post with the results.

Thanks for the kudos.

I'm gonna hang on to the stock knob for when I eventually sell my baby.

Hehe I replaced my radio with the CDA-9883. I went the cheap route. I did get the plug-n-play modifry harness though, all the buttons including mute works fine.

Um.. how are your tires? Mine's starting to show wear at 1700 miles on the edges. Daily driven, no track time yet.

I didn't have a chance to see how they wear because I pulled the 070's off after only a few days and mounted Yokohama A048's (225's in the front and 255's in the rear). However, the Bridgestone 070
