I guess I see the point on that front one, but there was never a question for me (maybe I am better at reading before doing on a new vehicle? :P ). I have learned not to take it for granted and just start jacking the car up. I was more looking at the white pic shown, where as you say, that had to be something else or someone REALLY not knowing what they were doing at all. I cant see how anyone would have put a jack there :P

 

I have also never gotten it (or anything else) wrong.

I saw two potential points. Which alerted me to stop and examine further. Upon any inspection, its pretty clear what each one does. Pretty basic. Hopefully anyone that sees 2 options would stop and figure out which one is the correct one. Hopefully....

I think sometimes people just see the first one they see. Simple mistake.

 

A good paintless dent repair shop can probably pop it out. It's a fairly simple contour. Only point of contention is the rock guard coating in the area and if that will affect how the glue sticks. If not by one of those hot glue slide hammers the front fender is fairly thin so I can see them taking the fender off and popping it out from the back. The shop in my area charges about $50 a dent, or maybe a little more if it's a really large dent.

I'd have to check one out again since it's been a while but when my car was in the shop I recall one of the lift arms contacting my rocker panel because my car wasn't centered properly within the lift and the car ended up being too close to one of the telescoping ends of the arms and the tech some how managed to wedge the arm under there. Thank fully I caught it and stopped them before the car actually went up.

Bummer. I would find the best paintless repair guy around and have him take a look. I bet they can fix it.

 

That's the one. Honestly after having gotten the car and looking it over I'm still really happy with it. The interior is nearly perfect and the rest of the car is immaculate. I love my stuff to be as clean as possible but given the rarity and my impatience I'm glad I jumped on this one. I'll most likely remove the fender and bring it to a body shop and have them massage it back into shape and repaint if necessary. The paint on the car is flawless and doesn't look faded at all. I just bought an OEM rear spoiler for the car that comes pre-painted and the match is on-point, so I'm quite certain I can get away with just a paint code match, luckily white is a very forgiving color and GPW in particular doesn't seem to have any elements that make it vary too much unlike the tinted clear in NFR or the multi-stage silvers.

Either way I'm stoked I found what I was looking for. Cosmetic damage doesn't bother me too much as it can always be fixed.
