Hi,

I currently (as you can tell) drive an Elise but am thinking of buying a S2000.

Could someone give me some info on the 2002 model..when it is coming out...price..changes made and if dealers are taking orders for them on not.

I have heard that the current models handling is not that great (not trying to start war...just passing on comments) and therefore would be interested to know if the newer model will address this issue...if it is an issue.

All the info you could give me would be great...how about an import...good idea ??

Welcome to this forum. You need to do a search using "2002" and start reading. You will find a lot of useful information here. Oh, have you driven an 'S' yet? If not, find a used one for sale or get in touch with one of the UK members on this board and drive one.

 

OK...is there anyone around SE London that could take me for a ride in theirs ??

I am around Essex way quite a lot as well and would appreciate someone showing me what the Honda is like.

Try posting in the UK S2000 section. Look under "National". You should be able to get some help there. I would gladly let you drive mine but it would be a long trip for you to come to Alabama.

 

Try posting this on the UK board (see forums)
- lot of stuff there on differences
- there are some owners not too far from you.

Test drove an '00 S2000 have an '02.
Think the main differences - apart from minor cosmetics - are clutch and transmission mods...the suspension may be mildly tweaked for our ill-made roads.

Why are you changing from the Elise?
I think the S2000 and the Elise have very different personalities

Where am I coming from? Son has an Elise, played with that, done the Hesel track bit.
