Ok, so this might sound dumb but the search button hasn't helped much since the site is so big now. It looks like next year (or sooner) I'll have the funds for a used S2000, yah me. Anyhow the question is, I would prefer a rear glass window, but is it costly to replace the plastic with glass and add defrost or should I just buy an 02 model? I figure that an 02 model will probably run $2k more than an 01 or 00.

 

I would purchase an 02 model if possible. The top coversion is probably going to run you close to if not more than that $2k difference at a dealership. Plus, the 00 and 01's have a lot more recalls regarding clutch buzz and 2nd gear grind. If you know those have been preformed on a 00 or 01, and you want to pay for the top coversion later on down the line to save $2k right away, I'd say go for it, otherwise, spend a little extra, and get an 02.

 

Yeah, don't put yourself through the hassle of having to deal with it. It'd probably cost more to add the glass window then just buying a model with it already.
