Injen TRUE CAI!!!
I have it now!!! Alls I can say is WOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! I don't know about anyone else here, but I've never really been able to hear the VTEC sound. That has changed now!! As far as power is concerned, I can "feel" a difference. We'll see how valid that feeling is when they dyno my car this Wednesday. Only thing is, I now have this big ole empty space where my airbox used to be. BUT, there's a nice silver tubing that goes down to my right front bumper with an injen air filter at the end of it. WOW WOW WOW!! I just kept hitting that VTEC all night last night!!!

Don't be too upset by your dyno results.......CAI's performance are air flow related and there won't be any air flow. If it feels good do it......(or find a guy with a stock car and do a few roll-ons).

holy crap! its about time injen made a true CAI! i have their hot air version and that itself sounded great! can you explain how they were able to create a cold-air effect in terms of where they routed the piping? can you post some pics asap! also did they give any estimate pricing?
Thanks!
Thanks!

I asked them about pricing and they told me around $300-$350 I believe. As for pics, I'll try and take some this weekend and post them asap. The piping is actually kinda tricky. They ended up routing it down towards our fake vents. We had to cut some slits on the plastic to get some air in there. Ultimately though, I'd have to cut out those fake vents. Did I mention the VTEC sound??

What's up TJ????
Cool (literally)!!!
The dynoes would be interesting. You'll probably gain alot at top end, but the bottom is the interesting part. Usually, CAI drops torque at bottom end because of the long piping.

yo TJ, pictures bro, pictures!
maybe shingles can back me up on this, but on the Maxima back in the old days, Place Racing offers a long extension CAI. sound is awesome (very very loud), and top end power is great, but it did lose low end torque on all the dynos i've seen.
i would love to see the dyno chart

I have the short ram Injen. I found that by powder coating it you can greatly reduce heat induction from the pipe. It's not quite as effective as a CAI but it is a safe way to go in a rainy area.
