Are you sure it's the car and not you? I know first hand when I got my S2000 it was loud in any kind of driving conditions. On windy days, it's noticably loud and annoying. I realized it's just the car. my 01 was more loud then my 06, and a lot of it had to do with the plastic window. Even so, after week of driving my Mazdaspeed 6, I get in the Honda and think, wow, this is one noisy machine. It might be loud to you know matter what you do, or until you get used to it. This is why I do 90% of my driving with the top down, and I don't use it daily. Hopefully this excess noise is the strikers, and you can fix it. However, the fact is, this is a noisy car, expecialyl on the highway, and you can't totally avoid wind noise with a rag top.
I understand that. This is not normal noise. William at E-autosport, who also drives an S2K, did some work on my car for me. When I picked it up, he asked me why my top was SO noisy. As for the seals, I'm not sure which ones you guys are talking about. Care to point them out for me?

There is a rubber interface along the top of the windshield where the top meets, use shin-etsu grease on it to condition it. Strikers is your next option.

Thanks for the help. Where can I get this shin-etsu grease? I went to a Honda parts dept today and asked for shin-etsu grease and they looked at me like I was from another planet. I explained what it was used for and they said they don't have anything like that. This was Colonial Honda in Glendale, CA.

First, is the car honda certified? Or do you have an extended warranty?

If you take it to the dealership you bought it from they will most likely fix it for you (if they're any good that is). If you take it to another honda dealer then it's up to them to decide to fix it for you for free or not. Another option is if none will fix it for free, try going to the one you bought it from and dealing with them so that you pay a reduced amount.
a little off topic, but if I was to get an extended warranty, would honda perform the TSB repairs to my car free of charge? I asked a sales manager about this and he said that an extended warranty would only cover basic maintenance. There are certain things that I would like fixed such as the 2nd and 3rd gear buzz as well as a few others.

guys i've had this problem for a year now, but it it didnt really bother me during the summer and spring time since i had my top down. Ever since I started driving with the top up the wind has started buggin the crap out of me. These past couple of days its been very windy in VA and its just 10x worse. I bought the Hardtop strikers a little while back, but they didnt seem to help at all. When i'm driving, sometimes i just pull down on the softop from the drivers side and the wind dissaperas when i let go it comes back. So it seems to me that theres something loose, but it cant be the strikers because i just replaced them. Anyone know what i can do to solve this problem.
