Default Installation of 2004 Radio Cover HELP!

I just need help with installation of 04 radio cover. I got it in today and took out the vent piece and now I am stuck on how to get the spring mechanism out to get the old door out and the new one in. Your help is appreciated!

lucid automotive has some downloadable instructions for removal of this item on their website, it is included in the instructions for installation of their speaker system and oem wiring. i found that geting the door back in was difficult and you have to push it in bottom first rather than top...unless you found a way to remove the console cover.

i will bet a dealer would be able to assist you (s2000 specialist ) or a radio installation place, i think all doors are the same except for the cover materials.

There are little pins that need to be pulled or pushed out on both sides of the radio door. Use a coat hanger or a drill bit. Slide the drill bit in and either push or oull the cylindrical pins out. Don't lose the spring located on the left side of the housing. It pops out real easy. Also note the orientation of the spring before you remove the door. Replace the door on the right side first. Then carefully put the spring over the round stub on the left side and compress it so it goes into the notch in the door housing. Replace pins and reinstall housing. enjoy.
