Default Installed AEM v2

I just finished installing the AEM v2 intake, and I have a few questions.

1) I think on the newer v2's, there's a drain hole near the filter, and in the kit, there's a plug for it, but i feel like that thing can fall off any second. Does anyone seal that hole with something else other than the provided plug?

2) After the install, I reset the ECU, then started the car to see how it would run. No CEL, but there was a smell of gasoline coming from the exhaust. Is that normal?

Thanks.

yea, the drain plug does seem to fit a little loose, but i just applied a little bit of silicone around the edge, and then mounted it.

as for the gasoline smell, i did not have this problem. i did however have the smell of antifreeze for the most part of the day LOL.

good luck buddy. i hope the smell is gone soon, and there is nothing wrong.

Does it rattle if you hit it? Dont whack it, just a small hit with your palm while its cold.

I would say off because the converter gets VERY hot. Hitting the converter just tells you if the comb is broken up inside it.
