Okay, I've started working... just started working, and I'm hesitating to rip anything a part. I already removed the vent panels behind the driver/passenger side seats and the 3 screws in the rollhoops (on each side) and the 4 in the top of the secret compartment. But I need help as to what to do next to strip it down without breaking it. I need to remove the main sscrew in the back of the compartment? Two screws under the armrest? How do I get to those last ones without damaging the arm rest?

There are screws, clips and bolts hiding everywhere. I did mine and will never do it again (it was a pain in the A$$).

Take all the push clips off the rear (back of roll hoops and the screw type clips toward the corners and the ones along the rear section under the window).

Take out the center counsole and the seats (its quick and easy and will free up space to not be so cramped).

Gut the trunk so you can get the rear tray out (top section only spare tire and panels) and disconnect the white clips with pliers for removal.

unbolt everything attached to the roll hoops and all the 10mm bolts that are just under the section where the ST goes under the rear part of the body.

Before trying to pull anything out check for 10mm bolts and sgrews under the plastics some of them are hidden pretty well.

Good luck!

Don't forget to disconnect the trunk release and power outlet before taking out the center console.

I hate myself for trying this already... oh well. It seems needlessly complicated. I happened to talk to people at my local Honda place about this... they estimated a 10hr job??

I think I did it in about 4 hours w/a buddy. If you take out the seats and center console it makes it a lot eaiser to move around inside. Most of the heavier hardware can be taken out with the top retracted, then you'll put it up partway to get some of the other screws toward the back. Just take your time and look at it logically, like I said if you have a manual with the exploded view it'll help show the things you'll need to remove. Also it has instructions on the order to remove things, not sure I would do it w/out a manual.
