Default Insurance >2x but it's worth it

Same Insurance Co (but changing cars)

VW New Beetle = $ 1,100.00
Honda S2000 CR = $ 2,400.00

Don't they realize the beetle has turbo. Dang

2 years ago they got me on my motorcycle: 85 in a 65. And this year a rolling thru a right turn on a red was caught on one of those (evil) traffic cams. So I really doubt I am in a position to shop around, but this is kind of expensive.

Thanks for the idea. I just typed in my data.

"Your six (6) month quoted premium with Mercury Casualty Company will be:
1 driver and 1 vehicle is
$1,182.90"

I think I just need to ride out a year or so and also get this thing paid off. One of the tickets will drop off after the 3rd year (I think) and no lien holder = better rates (I think)

Red light cameras go to the driver? I thought it was just a fine that went to whoever the car was registered too.

Always worth shopping around, even year-to-year with the same company.

Traffic cameras (here anyway) have nothing to do with YOU...just your car.

Will not go on your record, will not show up on any traffic record. Its a civil issue thats basically just a fine.
