Just wondering whats the point of someone slashing your seats ?
If you left the top down, they could've taken your seats in less than 5 mins.

Actually, I live in a really nice neighborhood. I was visiting my friend's who live near a not so nice area.

As far as replacing what was damaged, I might just say screw it and order some Recaro Pole Positions.
You left your top down in a shitty neighborhood?

What were you thinking? Your insurance company should cover one seat and let you cover the other one for you being a dumbass.

Sucks that it happened, but really...

It's not a bad neighborhood. I don't know where you guys are getting that. I said it's near a not so nice area, as in like 10 minutes away. The apartments he lives in are actually located in Memorial, which in Houston, is a really nice, exclusive area.

For all I know, it could have just been some punk kids who decided to have some fun. I don't know what compels people to destroy other people's property.

Either way, what's done is done. I'm going to fix my car with the money I received. Rest assured, I won't forget to leave my top down again.

I actually just got off the phone with Clear Lake Honda and John Eagle Honda.

Clear Lake's quote for the leather was 4396.80 and the padding was 1265.68 with the labor running around $752.

John Eagle's quote for the leather was 3967.00 and the padding was 1266.00 with the labor running close to $800.

It's not as expensive as ordering an entire seat assembly, but it's still pretty damn pricey.
that is ridiculous, you could buy 2 leather couches for that much

Up would be better.

And "not so nice" usually means bad.

give the guy a break. he doesn't deserve to get his car damaged just because he left the top down. do you deserve to get beat up because you walked down the wrong street? this is suppose to be a support forum not a bash a fellow s2k member forum.

Do us a favor and don't open your mouth next time. You have no right to judge someone else for making a simple mistake. Blame the assholes who cut it, not the owner. What makes you think they wouldn't have just cut the top?

OP: Good to know your insurance is taking care of it... I had a similar experience recently too, so I definitely feel ya!

Depending on your temperment and the way you may feel about OEM, you could buy a set of the custom leathers for sale on this forum for $300 bucks. Then you could shop around for a used OEM pair.
