I pay $86/month for the S out of $132 I pay for the two cars I own. 29 and recently divorced. I learned when you're married your wife is basically insured for free. Which is funny because it was my wife who got in an accident!

Replace the S with a beater until you're a college graduate with good credit and 25 and married and a homeowner and have multiple cars. Then your insurance will be cheap. But of course you'll have student loans, a wife, a home and multiple cars to pay for.

Ah yes... insurance threads are always fun. There are TONS of variables that go into what sort of insurance rate you pay so making an objective comparison between strangers on the internet is nigh impossible.

All other things being equal, there is probably only going to be 10-20% difference in price between companies. Whereas an expensive company might be charging you $300, you might find a "cheap" one charging you $260. Any other difference in price is going to be from things like:

- Age
- Gender
- Marital Status
- Location
- Driving record
- How much coverage you want
- How many cars you insure.

There is NO way for us to know the full extent of all of these variables and it's pointless trying to guess. Your best bet is just to shop around various different companies. If you find that all of them are too expensive then that says more about you than about the insurance company. If you can't afford the insurance then you can't afford the car. You really don't have any easy options at that point.

Im 27 and my 04 s2k is insured by state farm. $80 a month full coverage.
My old 00 gsr was covered by the same insurance company with only liability. I was hit by an uninsured motorist totaled my car and state farm still covered me. State farm has a uninsured motorist coverage policy which helped me out. I was soo happy i had that coverage because if i didn't it i would have lost big time. So at the end i was able to get 5200 keep my car (clean title) and sell it as is for 3k. A total of 8200!! true story! WINNING!!!
