How much do you want to spend? Probably the best intakes are J's and Mugen. AEM V2 makes more power and is pretty cheap, but has some drawbacks (namely water can get to the filter when it rains and can cause engine hydrolock).

Both Comptech and K&N are pretty comparable.

Comptech

For performance...Comptech isn't that great, but for sound they are one of the best. Don't believe any of the that you WILL hear about how it has fitment issues, etc. Whoever says that must not know the first thing about installing a performance part because with a little maneuvering...everything fits fine. It's very loud at WOT, and it definitely wins in the bling factor category cause it looks great with the carbon fiber. Spend the money, get the better product. Good luck.

I have the FIPK and i love it .. . ultimately u wont get much gains from any intake on the s2000 especially any short ram due to heat soak, but to me i really like the fipk. It sounds really good and for me, thats a big thing. i also put mine on at the same i put my test pipe on so i cant really say what exactly it has done (no dyno either).

CAI will give you better gains but at the risk of hydrolock.

if you just want sound get short ram, if you want gains (minimal) get CAI, if you dont want to get cai and want the gains...id probably rec just staying with gutted stock airbox and/or spoon snorkel

if your going for sound... go comptech. also i dont want to bad mouth a product but if by chance you decide to get a CAI becareful if you install and AEM by-pass. always check on it that the plastic does not crack, or the rubber ring around the by-pass doesnt harden and break apart. because if that happens your intake will not breath from the filter anymore and usually will trap dirt particals within the pipe and eventually inside your manifold.

i say if your willing to spend a little bit more cash. considering getting a spoon drop in filter, snorkel, and gutting the airbox. its the best set up in my opinion.

I say comptech because they look really cool. Your not going to make any difference in power between the 2 so why not get the one that looks the best
