The stock intake is great but the expensive snorkles are better without a doubt. I'm not saying that they are worth it costing 1k -3k but if you can afford one they why not? Plus i'd take the J's or mugen intake anyday over a 1k + header. Just my opinion

Oh and to the OP. Just go on ebay and pick up a fiberglass spoon style snorkle. For $40 you can't go wrong.

This topic has been so beat to death. Use the search and you will find at least 5 threads about this topic in the past year. But to put in my 2 cents. Want sound? Go K&N. Want bling? Go Comptech. Both are around the same power gains. The K&N is in my opinion, the best sounding intake. It is very loud at WOT and VTEC. I have the K&N and love it.
