Default INTAKE EMERGENCY

I just washed my car not 5 minutes ago and I do have the AEM V2 intake. I went to start my car and my car started sputtering and wouldnt turn on. Have I hydrolocked my car or could it be something else. And if I have what should I do.... HELP

Has it been raining in your area? Did it drive fine before? I don't think washing your car can hydrolock it...unless you were spraying the intake filter straight on. Too little water actially will get on the filter if you are just simply spraying the car down.

For a USC student you should know an intake isnt worth the trouble on our car.

OMG finally got it started - I guess im going to have to fabricate an umbrella tonight that was a little too close

Unless you jamed the water source in to the intake while the car was running then i doubt it is hydrolocked. Just in case get it towed to a dealer and have them take a look. DONT TRY TO START THE CAR AGAIN. It could cause more dammage.

I was reading in another intake thread that if you do not plug the drain hole in the front of the engine bay/fender above where the filter sits that when you wash the car (or if it rains heavy) water drains onto the filter and can fill the tubing up where the elbow is.

Thats maybe what happened.
