As someone alluded, what you experienced and 'hydrolock' are very different things. A hydrolocked engine won't turn over at first because the water in the cylinder seizes it (hence the name). If you car turns over fine it definitely is not hydrolock. Might be a bit of water on the electrics or even on some plugs, but it's not hydrolock.

im coming up on a year with the aem v1 and have been through countless washes, and heavy rainstorms. as long as you avoid puddles, youre fine.

pull out ur coil packs, take out ur spark plugs, disconnect the ECM, and crank the motor a little bit. if no water is coming out, something else is wrong. no need to waste a couple hundred to have a dealer mechanic do the exact same thing.
