Understand or not, it is happening. Again, is 4hp worth the cost of replacing the engine?
not really. but im still going to do it anyway.. i plugged up the drain hole, got a umbrella mod thing, dont drive in huge puddles... and im keeping my from bumper foax thing on. and if i really get scared ill just put stock back on.. and besides i live in texas.. freaking rain evaporates before it even hits the ground..

i dont understand how people are hydro locking without having the intake completely submerged in water.... i had a cai on my last car and had no problems at all...
45.3mL of water will fill a compressed cylinder and ruin a motor.

It doesn't take much.

What is the AUT cooling plate? Is that like the ARC cooling plate? Is cheaper? Better? Where is it sold? LOL.. sorry for all the questions...
Similar to Garage Defend plate ,but cheaper.
Sold by Gary,Import Tuning Garage,in the Groupbuy forum.(long waiting list at the time)
Made of 1"x1" C.F.weave,it directs cold air from the grille opening, directly into the airbox, allowing for a ram air effect, ensuring cold air at all time,no danger for hydrolock.
Plus it looks very nice.

The ARC intake is a POS... BIG, exposed filter that sucks hot air.

I think SPOON makes one that just attaches to your existing intake but funnels it ove the radiator down to the nose of the car.. anyone know about how that works and any gains?
