I have the Typhoon on my car and have for over a year. I have not had any issues with it.

I just installed the the fipk due to the overwhelming reviews of it for good sound. For the money it seems to be a decent choice. Many people refer to it as sounding more "tuned". I personally feel it does not sound more tuned (compared to having the lid off) and i'll be trying a few different things to change the sound a bit. To each his own (or her). I guess i should have gone to a meet and heard for myself what the different setups sound like.

fipk - great intake for the price , doesnt look as cool as the others out there but it does its job and it even gave me a little better gas mileage aswell . pairs up nice with a aut cooling plate from s2x .

love my typhoon! i was gonna get the fipk...but decided to get the typhoon for the colder air. i hear that the fipk still has heat soak issues...not sure if thats true or not.

not too worried about hydrolock as the s2k never sees the rain

i agree no intake will have much gain over another so pick one that makes u happy. I kinda like how the fipk doesnt make the engine bay look so bare

Im think'n of the FIPK as well for this reason...
The CAI's that relocate in the front bumper make the engine bay seem odd or incomplete or lacking or something IMO... I personally am not fond of that particular look... To each ther own...
Does the FIPK come in diff colors??

The Typhoon comes with a gortex type sock that fits snug over the filter. The sock doesn't restrict air flow, but does keep the moisture out.
