i would vote for the K&N FIPK. the reason is AUT Coolling plate works well in addition to drawn air the filter. the vent on the fender side also drawn air to the filter.

Yeah you can hear it pre-vtec when you floor it. After vtec it changes the engine sound a bit and coupled with an invidia + TP...its like jesus entering your car

comptech doesnt really make a tuned sound , fipk does , both are goood intakes though , and comptech prob. looks a lil nicer under the hood and i own an fipk . but k & n did some testing on theirs .

FWIW I've got an FIPK and love it. I made a little GAF (Ghetto air feed) to run cold air the intake and it works excellent. I've tracked the car with this setup in HEAVY rain and driven it on the street on hot days. No water suckin' problems at all, and the filter will be cool to the touch after a 2 hour drive. Seems that the cold air fed from the intake hose is just enough to pressurize that small space that's closed off by the K&N kit, which discourages any warm air from the engine compartment from sneaking by the rubber seals and void spaces. The kit is extremely well thought out and was easy to install. Here's one pic of mine with the GAF, and a link to install pix.
