not a fan, looks like a half ball shift boot, nothing like a gate setup.

So what is stopping you from making large quantities of the gate itself made (the one you have) since you have access to a CNC machine?

Methinks this works better for cars that have remote shifters.

Every thing I do is by hand, no CNC

So you made your own shifter plate by hand?

Agreed. Its on the S60, possibly the S40...

Make that and I'm in.

Gated shifter is too retro for the S2000.
With the additional intention of helping to avoid mis-shifts I don't think this one would cut it. Though I like Puddy's, it wouldn't serve that purpose either.

Visually I think this ball one is stinky as well. I'm happy with a short shifter or countersunk knob with a nice leather boot, personally.

As to the benefit of avoiding miss shifts, it dose help. You always know what gear your in and if you go for a down shift a quick glimpse of the shift plate lets you know if your good to let the clutch out
Trophy shop = clever

I suppose it does give some better idea of gear based on not having a sloppy boot where you can recognize the distance of the shifter for each of the extreme gear locations, but I was thinking more along the lines of still not having a visual on each gear (which I'm sure you understand).

Maybe a better way to avoid mis-shifts would be for Rick's to start offering the ol' Trunk Monkey's with chauffeur ability.
