FYI, on my Mustang I used to have a "short throw shifter" and the entire shifter was replaced. The stock unit did have a thicker shaft, but the new shifter had much thinner shaft, I haven't looked at the handle of the S2K, but couldn't a new shaft be made to work with the shift gate? I believe the new shaft was made out of CNC'ed Aluminum.

While doing a search for someone I found this old thread, I thought it kind of funny. I guess great minds think alike

I started building it in Nov. of 04 so it's been in the car a around 2 and a half years. Here is a more resent pic, it has weathered a bit and looks more like the OEM aluminum trim now

Agreed. Its on the S60, possibly the S40...

Make that and I'm in.

Gated shifter is too retro for the S2000.

Any chance of sharing your design with Rick so he can produce those?

That setup would be cake to do
I can do individual gates too but, the engineering is crazy complicated and would be very expensive

you know i like the idea of a ferrari look a like but I don't like that one posted. I would rather have one with individual channels for the shift lever.
