FYI, on my Mustang I used to have a "short throw shifter" and the entire shifter was replaced. The stock unit did have a thicker shaft, but the new shifter had much thinner shaft, I haven't looked at the handle of the S2K, but couldn't a new shaft be made to work with the shift gate? I believe the new shaft was made out of CNC'ed Aluminum.

that actually looks pretty good, although it doesnt match the aluminum trim exactly. anymore pix?
I started building it in Nov. of 04 so it's been in the car a around 2 and a half years. Here is a more resent pic, it has weathered a bit and looks more like the OEM aluminum trim now

Gotta love the fast and furious on the head unit :lol
you know i like the idea of a ferrari look a like but I don't like that one posted. I would rather have one with individual channels for the shift lever.
