well it would also make sense that the 2.2L makes more power than the 2.0L.

Why? the 2.2 redlines 1,000 rpms lower.

My 0.6 liter bike motor makes as much HP as my 1.5 liter civic motor.

My 06 is fasters than my boy's 00 his has 22k miles mine has 60k+! But ive beaten an 04-05 ap2 no problem at the track so i dont know what to tell u. it could differ from car to car too though.
Could be the driving. I'm a very experienced driver and somehow I whooped every AP2 I raced when I had m AP1. But like I said...it could be the driving.

I was at a dyno day and the stock AP1 and stock AP2 dynoed exactly the same peak HP. You might be able to make some argument about the power curve but the peak is identical which is the reason they are rated the same.

No, I don't think Honda intentionally made the S2k more powerful. The 2.2L engine has higher torque at lower RPM and allows easier low-RPM (city) driving than the AP1. The car's acceleration is area under the dyno curve between gear shifts. I don't believe that is substantantially improved in the AP2.

Less power or more power, the difference is minimal; therefore, ap1 ftw regardless

dyno's should only be used for tuning. not to see how much power a car makes.
