thanks,
I'm using the Raynox QC-505

It works great -- just make sure you have your camera set on macro/close-up mode to get it to focus. Once you get the interior in focus, do an Auto-Focus lock if you can.

Hey all, saw this thread pop up again. I'm now using hondaf1's camera mount with a Canon Vixia HG20 camcorder (with a wide-angle lens). I upgraded from that Samsung NV24HD camera. I'm still not highly impressed but it's not nearly as shaky. I only have autocross video at the moment but I'll have some street footage soon.

I just wanted to note that I'm glad that I'm not the only one that had issues with the Samsung NV24 HD camera's shakiness on the S2000. I also wanted to point out that I'm on stock suspension for those looking at my previous and now current videos and that the roads here in San Antonio, TX are less than favorable. I've made sure that I latch down the secret compartment and I know it doesn't move when I'm filming.

I'll have track videos up in a couple of days.

I'm very glad that many of you found P&S/mount solutions that work out great for you. =)

Personally not a fan of the Gopro's. Image quality just sucks IMO.

Heres the mount I was talking about (That bushnell)

Top down and up. Camera is a Canon PowerShot S1IS. I don't have any videos because that camera took a big steamy dump on me and doesn't work anymore. It's on there for reference only.

Will this only work with a point and shoot or will it also support a video camera? Think I am going to go with this mount, like that you don't need to remove the wind screen and looks sturdy / minimal shaking.

It screws into the bottom of most P&S cameras, into this threaded hole

It has a rubber "pad" of sorts so its not hard metal on your camera case. Here you can also see the screw that sticks out for the camera to get threaded onto.

Heres the thumbwheel that turns the camera mounting screw

Here's how it attaches to the windscreen. Its got the same thumbwheel that pushes that pad to the window. (That "pad" is a piece of plastic with the rubber pad from the top on both sides of the gap)

Sorry for the pictures, I'm using my phone since every other camera I touch breaks.
