interior fogging annoyance...
referring to this thread on the best way to defog w/o using a/c...
besides buying commercial products, what's everyone else doing? i used to apply some clear gel tooth paste onto my motorcycle helmet shields... but this fogging thing is really annoying the crap out of me... especially when it's 20-40deg outside, forget it... you breath, the window fogs up, even w/ the ventilation on and heater w/ a/c on going full blast...

Do you have your heater/AC set to recirculate inside air instead of bringing in outside air? If so, that's your problem. I've never had a fogging problem when using the recirculate function.

Ditto on the A/C - i just flip it on with the window vents and the fog evaporates very quickly. I don't understand why people are so against the A/C compressor working - if its wet and cold out, do you really need that last bit of power when you shouldn't be driving more than 5/10 anyway?

What's got my attention here is the fact that I drive my s2k around in the winter without the AC on all the time, and no fogging. After all, the cars with the worst fogging problem are the ones that are most air-tight, and the s2k (being a convertible) certainly isn't air-tight. I always run the heater on outside air, not recirculated. If ToeKneeC is doing the same thing I'm doing and has fogging, there may be other problems. These might include a leaking heating radiator coil or a blocked AC water drain.
