interior rattles inside dash of AP2
Hello everyone
i am trying to track down interior rattles in the dash of my 2006.
any idea where i should start?
the rattling sound is not all the time
just shows up some times.
sounds like it is somewhere in the center of the dash behind the radio and climate controls.
just trying to get car "perfect" in my mind
sorry about the vague question.
also looking for OEM type leather to recover factory steering wheel...posted details in Interior section.
take care everyone

I had a rattle that seemed to come from the dash. Turned out that it was the stops on the inside of the sun visors contacting the windshield frame. I put leather covers on the sun visors and that took care of the rattle.
I tracked the noise in my S to the roof latches.
Sounded at first like it was coming from the dash, but it was not.
The latches have a part that vibrates. I fixed it with a little bit of bicycle handlebar tape about 5 years ago.
Haven't heard a rattle since.
