Welcome to the obsession!

Valve adjustment would be my first maintenance item...might as well replace the plugs and valve cover rubbers as well.

plan is stockish with oem+ vibe. Probably build it for C-street class in autox and see if I can compete with the Nd2’s.

Aside from the k&n drop in this was the easiest thing to tackle. Leaking timing gear bolt o-ring. Old one was hard and flat then broke when removing. The new oem part is round and squishy. Lubed up and torqued to 36ft-lbs. No more leaks?

Rebuilt my shifter


14mm to loosen lock nut.

10mm to remove 3 bolts holding in shifter.

Severe lack of grease.

Old vs. new

Used Lucas x-tea heavy duty urea grease

Greased

Greased

Back in.
