Yea the drone is real bad, it is controllable through throttle use but if you're going up a hill or if you have to downshift and the rpms are around 3k or 4k forget it, the drone is mind numbing.

The piping for the stock system and the invidia are the same diameter so what I am doing is taking the stock section from the cat flange back to right before the split, then welding on a custom bent pipe and two hole flange to meet up to the invidia rear section. Sorry if this description sucks but I'll post pics when I get it done.

I was thinking about figuring out the sizing and placement for a Helmholtz resonator but it'd seriously take less time to cut and weld.

drone isn't that bad, worst at 3-4, sometimes it resonates around the whole inside of the car (when top is up) and that's bad, but otherwise its alright...

ok actually it is kinda bad, the resonating in the car sucks, you get embarrassed if you're driving around a girl that doesn't like cars

There is no way to describe how loud it really is. Me saying its kinda loud means nothing. Even with the video that I made its still hard to tell what loud is. You need to hear it in person to understand what "loud" equates to with the invidia.

I say get a testpipe that cuts out a lot of the drone. The stock resonator might help (I've never heard it so I can't say for sure). Basically this is a loud exhaust and there really isn't much to do for it. It would be like making a 3inch single straight pipe quiet...not going to happen

in my case the silencers help a lot... take away most of the droning but I don't like the look of it.
I want to buy a testpipe to reduce droning without the silencers... but I think it will still be too loud for the belgian police men

The testpipe does it make it scream when your on vtec(we are talking 120+ dbs becuase it physically hurt my ears to hear my car on the dyno). It sure is sweet though and it does cut the drone down.

Testpipe

I spend up to 2 hours per day in my car when i take it to work and the drone was bad enough that i put in the silencers without caring how it looked. This exhaust will cause permanent hearing loss if exposed to it enough. I did some sound exposure studies for work using dosimeters, so when I get a hold of one of these devices again I will post results to show how bad this exhaust is on the ears. Don't get me wrong, this exhaust is badass and I do take the silencers off on the weekends.
