Wow. This puppy must drone something fierce. I think the drone from my Comptech exhaust is bad from 3 to 4K.

I've just heard this exhaust for the first time last week,

when someone says an exhaust is "loud", it doesn't help my choice in anyway possible, either they don't have a decibel meter, or just have sensitive ears.

I've realized that exhaust tones are are so specially engineered to produce a certain tone. For instance, some exhaust are loud at idle, and when revved in neutral or under load, they are just a louder version at the same pitch. Some are quiet while revving in neutral, but when the engine is under load, they trumpet and bellows, these are designed to perform well in actual racing conditions. I believe the invidia is just loud just because, it doesn't appeal to me at all, the angled, enormous tips are more show car like that performance oriented.

With performance modificatinos, I am a person who likes the form, quality and performance of a product, before the style.

I'm not saying it is a bad exhaust, it's a good price and it's SS, but it's just not my taste.

As long as you don't floor it in front of cops... you'll be ok. When I first got the exhaust it sounded real loud in the cabin so I was worried as well. I got a friend to swap cars with me so I can hear it from the outside... and it is just loud enough to let you know the car is there. It really just starts to make crazy noise when you floor it.

I had the Invidia and it is a ticket waiting to happen. I live in westminster/ huntington beach area (Southern Cali) and I almost had a heart attack everytime I saw a patrol car anywhere near me. You can not really control its volume due to the drone is at its peak at 3-5000 rpms unless your shifting at 2000 rpms

in the area I'm in cops are known for giving modified exhuast tickets. If the area you drive around is similair I recommend you keep your stock exhuast to get the tickets written off. I had the stock resonator and header so I dont know if the test pipe will be any better.

I sold my Invidia and now have a Toda with Test pipe and it is still alot quieter than my Invidia was. The Invidia during wide open throttle sounds great, but if the is a cop within a couple miles in any direction your busted.

I would take a ride in an S with this exhuast before buying it because its one that you will either love it or hate it

Invidia+TP+Header here......ALOT of the drone was killed w/ the TP, and even more w/ the header. I've only had the header on for a couple hours, so it really hasnt broken in that much, but from what I can already tell, its gotten rid of the high pitch of the invidia w/ tp and replaced w/ a deeper tone as well as get rid of more of the drone

Whew, long week, the exhaust with the stock midpipe gets rid of the drone down to the point if the original exhaust had silencers in. It still drones some but it is tolerable now
