The only part that really bothers me is starting from a stop, it is hella loud. I had a cop behind me last night and I thought I was definitely going to get nailed. I was shifting below 2k each time to try and keep the noise down. Besides that I can manage to keep it bearable by keeping it a bit above or below 3000. I just hope my neighbors don't get pissed because I leave for school at 7ish am during the winter and come home late on fri-sat nights, if I drive. The exhaust looks amazing I just wish I could make it a little quieter without silencers.

When I first placed the Invidia on the car and drove it...I was like " HOly SHi^*, this is loud". I drive it everyday and I turn heads constantly. I have an under pass on my way home from work everyday and it is awesome to vtec the car in there. The drone can get you sometimes
(anyway to get rid of it?). I do not reccomend driving it long distances without the silencers. I drove it to Lville from here (3 hours) and I was pretty wipped from the drone. The car sounds cool when you fire it up and definatley when you "get on it". I like watching the cats in "the hood" go flying when i come by! The wife won't drive it with the silencers out (another plus).

The last track day I went to I got a lot of complements on the sound.

Also, the droning goes away by 90mph in 6th.

Its real loud with a straight pipe and 4.77 gears. But the silencers are my saving grace. Then when I fell like being boy racer the silencers come out. It drones and can be abusive. Last week I took a 130 mile ride with no silencers and the top down. After the ride my ears where ringing like they do after a rock concert.

Get the silencers. To me they are a must have in certin circumstances.

#1 I've had the exhaust for about 6months and love it. To me it is not loud.... I've had several single outlet exhaust (now that's loud!).
#2 I drove about 1200miles, top down and no silencers (I have 4.77 gears) and I was fine... you get used to it.
#3 I have the silencers and will sell them. I never have used them.

I do love the deep growl on firing the S up, but it was so loud (without the silencers), when I first installed it, that I had a major headache after driving about 2 miles. Once I put in the silencers in, it became tolerable, and I still have it on the car.

However, on a longish trip (300-400 miles) I would still recommend using some hearing protection. One of my other loves is as an audiophile, and I want to continue to be able to hear my music, as I grow even older.

In fact let me preach to the younger folks (20's-30's), please consider using some kind of hearing protection any time you are using any machinery. Prolonged exposure to high sound levels can and will contribute to profound hearing deficits, as you grow older...and with the natural aging process losses, we don't need any additional help to speed-up this loss.
