Anyone ever try a straight pipe instead of using the resonator?

I think I may have a crack somewhere or my resonator is messed. I have a really bad buzzing sound. Mainly above 6Krpm and decel between 6-5kprm. It sounds like a ricer exhaust now

supposedly adding a test pipe reduces drone by ive heard 35-60%

also people cut the stock exhaust and weld/clamp in the stock resonator and say that that's the best fix that they have seen?

i dont know i just have a regular invidia dual v3 on with no modification

the drone used to be really bad, but im getting used to it (= going deaf)

This will cause the exhaust to sound more ass-like, if you are catless that is.

Anyone else try this? Also I could not get the sound clips to work, the file website says that the files do not exist.

What do you mean by ass-like?

It sounds like crap right now. Like a cheap fart can the common civic drives around with.

Wow what a difference. I just put the 3" Vibrant resonator in and it cut the drone by a good 50%.

It didn't fix my buzzing rattle though. It sounds like there is an odd sound coming from the passenger side muffler.

Has anyone had to deal with Invidia yet in terms of warranty?

Sounds like a poor fitting silencer or maybe a loose silencer.
Wedge a small piece of headgasket material or possibly some high temp head gasket adhesive between the silencer and tip.
If your not using the silencers, it has to be "buzzing' against the frame.

No silencers, and it's not touching the frame.

No external cracks

And it's not any of heat shields.

It's not the tips.

The buzzing/raspy sound changes most likely due to the different expansion/contraction properties from it heating up and cooling off.

Is this a new system? If not you might have a bad muffler.
