Okay so I live right by the airport here and theres usually quite a bit of cops out, my question is have you ever been pulled over for your exhaust being too loud, and do you think they would give me any shit if i cruized by at like 5-6k?

I don't think 5-6K RPM is a good idea.

I find my T1R to be the quietest between 2-3K rpm. I'll try to stay in that range and let off the gas if I want to be really quiet.

 

i had Invidia for about 3 months and never been pulled over for the noise

 

everytime i cruise by a cop with my invidia i'm shifting at around 3k. Don't do it around 5-6k they will notice you.

 

Me too - ex-silencers Im tippy toeing around the Police. Often will shift into neutral and glide by. Worst thing to happen was when cop was behind me at light. Granny shifted like mad. Never been pulled over though.

I wouldnt fault them for pulling me over either - if you drive it in VTEC, that exhaust is unreasonably loud IMO. Love the sound though.

Im also very very careful in my neighborhood ex-silencers , you dont want people complaining.

Be respectful and you should have no problem, or put the silencers in (mine are in now).

 

I just got mine, and I've never been pulled over, but I do find it to be the quietest around 5k rpm, or at idle, heh.

 

My first task once i get it installed is going through the airport tunnels in vtec can't wait to hear that
